Service Description

Creative workshop to make of one of the most well-known symbols of Amerindian/pre-Hispanic cultures: The Eye of God. This is a typical Huichol (Wixarika, Mexico) craft. The Eye of God is traditionally made from lace or wool on a wooden cross. It is also represented in other traditional textiles and crafts. DURATION: 2 hours. This session follows a 1-hour Culture Café on Amerindian cultures. If you would like a better overview, be sure to arrive an hour early (NOTE: separate registration). Registration for both sessions will entitle you to a CHF 10 discount. WHEN: Send us dates when you can spend 2 hrs with us to info@recrearte.ch . Any time Tue-Sat 10:00 21:30 pm. We will do our best to match your availability. CLOTHING: Comfortable clothes that can get dirty. Aprons available. LANGUAGES: English, German, Spanish, French, or Italian WHO: All are welcome. Kids under 8 require an accompanying adult. Si tratta di un tipico artigianato Huichol (Wixarika, Messico). L'Occhio di Dio è tradizionalmente realizzato in pizzo o lana su una croce di legno.
